2G: Govt wants SC to extend deadline for telecos Jan 8th 2013, 18:46 The Department of Telecommunications has once again moved the SC, requesting it to allow telecom operators - whose licences were cancelled following Feb 2012 verdict - to operate after Jan 2013 deadline and until successful bidders of the proposed auction commence their operations.
